focuses on 2 main agenda: (i) Review of 2023: 50 years friendship of Indonesia & Korea; and (ii) the Embassy’s priorities in 2024, including Indonesia’s General Election. In her remarks, Ms. Zelda Wulan Kartika emphasized that following the momentum of the 50th Anniversary of Indonesia-Korea’s friendship last year, the Embassy of Indonesia in Seoul is deeply committed to continue strengthening cooperation between Indonesia and Korea through closer collaboration between governments, businesses, as well as peoples of the two countries. In this regard, the Embassy plans to host highlighted activities throughout this year, including high-official visits and bilateral meetings which engages multi stakeholders, business forum and business matching on areas of priorities, as well as creative and digital economy, education, and cultural events. On creative and digital economy cooperation, the embassy will focus on film industries and collaboration in traditional music between Indonesia and Korea in 2024. The Indonesian Embassy will also continue to promote mutual understanding between people of the two countries through “Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers (BIPA)” program. In Indonesia, the General Election will take place on 14 February 2024 where more than 200 million of citizens will cast their votes. The elections are organized to elect President and Vice President, as well as members of legislative bodies at province and city level. The Organizing Committee of Election in Seoul will host election in 29 voting stations located in 21 cities across South Korea. Indonesian citizens who live in South Korea will be able to have an early voting on 10 February 2024. As one of Indonesia’s top foreign policy priorities, the Embassy of Indonesia in Seoul will continue to enhance the protection of Indonesian citizens as well as to provide excellent consular, immigration, and labor services.
