Congratulatory remarks by Andrew Chernetsgi, Ambassador of Belarus to Korea

The Belarusian Embassy in South Korea successfully hosted a celebration for the 80th anniversary of Belarus' independence on Friday, June 28th, at the 19th floor of the Ambassador Pullman Hotel in Seoul.

This event was organized to commemorate Belarus' sovereignty and to strengthen the friendly relations between South Korea and Belarus.

The event was attended by the Belarusian Ambassador, officials from the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ambassadors and diplomats from various countries, business leaders, and figures from the cultural and artistic communities, totaling around 200 guests.

The celebration featured traditional Belarusian music and dance performances, which received enthusiastic responses from the attendees.

 Additionally, an exhibition showcasing Belarus' history, culture, and economic achievements was held, allowing participants to experience the rich culture of Belarus.

In his commemorative speech, the Belarusian Ambassador expressed his gratitude, saying, “I would like to extend my deepest thanks to everyone here for joining us in celebrating the 80th anniversary of Belarus' independence.

South Korea and Belarus are long-standing friends, and we look forward to further deepening our cooperation and friendship.” He added, “Belarus is committed to expanding cooperation with South Korea in various fields in the future.”

The latter part of the event featured a cake-cutting ceremony and a celebratory toast symbolizing the friendly relations between the two countries. Guests enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere, engaging in networking and discussing ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.

The celebration was a significant opportunity to solidify economic, cultural, and diplomatic ties between Belarus and South Korea, receiving positive feedback from the attendees. 

The Belarusian Embassy in South Korea reaffirmed its commitment to continuous efforts for the development and peace of both nations.
